Jason Bonsignore was drafted in the first round of the 1994 NHL entry draft, 4th overall by the Edmonton Oilers. He was a very highly regarded junior center who played for the Newmarket Royals, Niagara-Falls Thunder, and Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League. He played his first NHL game for the Oilers in 1995 and scored a goal. The next season saw Bonsignore move between the farm team in Cape Breton, his junior team in Sudbury and the big club in Edmonton. He then spent the next two seasons in the AHL in Hamilton. In 1997 he was traded by the Edmonton Oilers along with Bryan Marchment and Steve Kelly to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Roman Hamrlik and Mike Comrie. He played parts of two seasons with the Lightning but has since spent his career playing for numerous teams including the Cleveland Lumberjacks, St John's Maple Leafs, Springfield Falcons, and Lowell Lock Monsters in the AHL and IHL. Jason played for the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL during the 2003-04 season.
